The Imperial
Tombs Exhibition, constructed for another Wonder Series exhibit held in Memphis, TN, was,
for us, a truly exciting project. The artifacts displayed were numerous as is implied by
the vast quantity of display cases shown in the following photographs.
Since the entire project duration was a mere 107 days, all of the theatrical elements were
shop fabricated and finished. We provided early "hold dimensions" to the builder
and then started the work in our shop. At the 75% mark and with the builder's general
construction being complete, we went onsite and installed our pre-fabricated items. This
parallel approach and early coordination is what allowed the total scope of our work to be
completed on schedule.
The work consisted of faux effects on tomb walls; sewer pipes recreated roof tiles, and
graphics highlighted the temple entrance.
